The Office of Campus Sustainability and Waste Management Services host an office supply reuse event each summer. The goal of the event is to ensure that gently-used office supplies are reused.
The 2019 Office Supply Collection Days are scheduled for June 26 (North & Medical Campuses) and 27 (South & Central Campuses). On these dates, Waste Management Services crews will collect gently-used and new office supplies from campus buildings and make them available at no cost to the University and local non-profits. On designated pick-up dates, Waste Management Services crews collect the supplies from the loading docks and dumpster areas. Departments must email email@example.com by June 21 indicating their intent to participate.
Furniture, electronics or anything broken will not be accepted.
With the support of Property Disposition, the 2019 Office Supply "Garage Sale" (office supplies available at no cost) will be held on July 11 (U-M departments only) and July 12 (U-M departments and non-profits) at the WMS Garage, 1655 Dean Road.
This program supports the University of Michigan’s sustainability goal of reducing waste sent to landfills by 40% by 2025.
