New students who have pre-registered are learning how to be a Green Wolverine at this fun and educational Planet Blue Bike Tour on Friday, August 31, 2012 (starting and ending at the Diag on Central Campus). Due to the high level of response, there are two back-to-back tours scheduled: one from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and another from 1 to 3 p.m. Participants will learn about a wide range of sustainability initiatives and activities at U-M—all while zipping around campus on a cool, brand new Blue Bike!
As one of our tour stops, we'll stop at the Arboretum for a free lunch and some time at the Huron River. Beyond delicious food, participants will also receive a free “Be a Green Wolverine” decal, and a chance to win a day of free climbing at M-Rock. Registration for this special event is full. However, if you'd like to be added to the waiting list, please call the Graham Institute office at 615-8230. You may also rent the Blue Bikes from Rec Sports throughout the school year.
All bicycle and safety equipment will be provided to registrants who do not have it. This student event is sponsored by U-M Planet Blue, the Graham Sustainability Institute, and Outdoor Adventures.
